The internet is fun

As evidenced by this link. I want a class like that.

Happy New Years, Kids

Other than the very practical resolution of finishing college by June, my primary resolution for 2003 is to be more like Jordan.

There is no way I will remember having posted this in the morning.

INTERNATIONAL NOISE CONSPIRACY “Bigger Cages, Longer Chains EP”

Bigger Cages, Longer Chains, is a six-song EP from these rambunctious Swedes, further proving that they have far more depth, dignity, and musical talent than any of the current “garage rock revolution” bands that the mainstream musical press has so dearly latched onto. Five of the songs on here are brand new, including a cover [...]

You had me worried…

Leon – you had me so distressed! But alas, I returned this evening and it was all such a scam! You dirty plant you! There you were, sitting daintily, just where I left you, only slightly parched, and nary a leaf out of place. I'm glad to see that you survived buddy ol' pal, but I knew you would anyway – you're a trooper. Unfortunately, your devious side has led me to take away your keyboard privileges. It's for your own good. Goodnight!

IN THE FACE OF WAR “Self-Reliance is Self Destruction”

This band is just brimming with angst, energy and emotion, swirled up and mixed tight with hardcore passion and influences. Although the production on here leaves much to be desired (it just sounds very amateurish), the equally poignant traces of BOY SETS FIRE and STRUNG OUT keep me intrigued. From a current perspective that takes [...]

………………….

I was given my last rites this morning, Jordan. I take back everything I said about you, gentle keeper, just please, rescue me from this hastily-approaching fiery chasm known as the garbage can. I fear I may only have 24 hours to live. I don't know what I did to deserve this treatment oh wise and just master, but victory is yours. If you can revive me from this sickness cast over me, I shall pledge my undying allegiance to you and your offspring.

Continued Observations from the Frozen Kiddie Pool

1. I finally met staffer "Biff" a couple of days ago. You would think that the guy I grew up about three minutes from would be the one I met first, but whatever. That dude's coffee drinking skills are highly impressive.
2. OPETH – Deliverance: Perhaps the most amazing metal cd I've ever purchased. Six songs, 65 minutes long. Black metal + death metal + 70s Prog Rock.
3. EDGEWISE – Complete Discography. I used to love this band five or so years ago, but totally forgot about them until Thorp Records released this compendium. Awesome.
4. I carry a book on the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure in my backpack at all times. I rock.

5. GO GIANTS!!!!

There are too many people on Long Island

This has been a highly enjoyable break from the law school life, as I've been able to step back for a few days and be with my family and fiancee, but the fact still remains, there's still too many dang people on Long Island. Not that I want to become a hermit or even remove myself to a rural lifestyle, but everytime I come back here and visit a mall, (or The Cheesecake Factory) I'm just bowled over with a sensation that makes me want to run for the hills. Oh well, at least North Virginia is peaceful and sparsely populated…(oh how I kid…)
