AGNOSTIC FRONT Pressing Error 7″s In The Wild

RevHQ.com reports of some pressing problems with the brand new AGNOSTIC FRONT 7″ on Bridge Nine:

“What had been scheduled for a September 25th release, the long-awaited AGNOSTIC FRONT 7″ entitled For My Family will be delayed until further notice due to an error with the pressing. Tracks 2 and 3 on the 7″ are actually the same song. You may have already bought one out of the approximately 200 7″s that were shipped before anyone realized there was something amiss. Consider yourself lucky as you are now the owner of an Agnostic Front collector’s item! If you didn’t get one, we’re sorry but the rest of the 7″s have been destroyed. Stay tuned, we will have the correct version of the 7″ as soon as they are done.”

BLUE SKIES FOR BLACK HEARTS “Love Is Not Enough”

Just a few months ago, BLUE SKIES FOR BLACK HEARTS released an album titled Turn The Light Out. However, after a major shift in the line-up that saw the departure of the band’s keyboardist (also the vocalist’s girlfriend) and drummer, vocalist Pat Kearns set out to write another album, the ten-track Love Is Not Enough. ENDGAME To Release EP on Get Outta Town

Florida’s Getta Outta Town Records quietly tucked in the following news in one of its recent newsletters. We favorably reviewed some material by ENDGAME last year with the band’s split with fellow Jersey folks MOVEMENT.

“ENDGAME is a perfect fit for any fans of the mid-90′s Revelation sound. Think of bands like Sense Field, Strength 691, Ensign, and Texas is the Reason. I realize only two of these bands were on Rev, but I am just trying to give you a sonic description. They also share members with BETWEEN THE WARS. The five song EP will also be out by the end of the year.”

Stillborn Inks THY WILL BE DONE

From the inbox:

Providence, Rhode Island based THY WILL BE DONE has officially signed with Stillborn Records and is set to release their debut full length Was And Is To Come on October 23, 2007. The release marks the first collaboration between the Providence outfit and Stillborn Records, and will be distributed nationally through Caroline Records/EMI. Completed in early 2007, Was And Is To Come features a guest vocal appearance by Jesse David Leach of SEEMLESS, was produced, engineered and mixed by Zeuss (Hatebreed, Behemoth, 3 Inches of Blood) with Jamey Jasta as Executive Producer.

Encompassing various facets of the metal spectrum, Was And Is To Come is marked with a plethora of core influences that range from vintage SEPULTURA and CARCASS, to the southern rock sludgy vibe of CROWBAR. Heralded by Metal Edge Magazine as “38 minutes of resistance to current metal trends,” and tagged “the best thing to come out of the East Coast in a long time” by Ruin Magazine, Thy Will Be Done has already used their sound to wow critics and garner press support in some of the most respected national and local publications.

Throughout the years Thy Will Be Done has provided support for national acts such as the Misfits, Hatebreed, Killswitch Engage, Shadows Fall, and Converge. As the release draws near, Thy Will Be Done is set to hit the road and plans to spend the rest of this year and much of 2008 touring in support of Was And Is To Come.

- THY WILL BE DONE? Interesting name. It sounds like something that I would say while barbecuing. “After I flip over this chicken breast and slather on some marinade, THY WILL BE DONE!”

MISSION OF BURMA Plan Re-Issues

From the inbox (Matador sent the longest press email ever with info about everything from their favorite albums of the year to actual news about their artists)

“MISSION OF BURMA again, you might have to wait for the next update for the full, sprawling scoop, but in early ’08 we’ll be reissuing MISSION OF BURMA’s collected Ace Of Hearts recordings. Remastered/lavishly repacked versions of ‘Vs.’ and live album ‘The Horrible Truth About Burma’ will be joined by the band’s breakthrough ‘Signals Calls & Marches’ EP (coupled with their crucial “Academy

Fight Song” b/w “Max Ernst” single) in the early part of the year. All will come with extras — and ‘Signals’ comes with something really special.”

Song Of the Day

RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE-Guerrilla Radio

- It came to me playing Dungeons and Dragons last night that I hadn’t heard that explosive “ALL HELL CAN’T STOP US NOW!” ending, and as the characters broke out of prison later that night, all I could hear my head was Mr. De La Rocha’s impassioned scream….

-Oh man, I TOTALLY love playing Magic: The Gathering while listening to MUNICIPAL WASTE. Something about tapping mana and listening to “Beer Pressure” gives me the vapors… -Alex

THUMBSCREW “Within Hearts of Redemption EP”

Do you remember the first time you heard something as insane sounding as COALESCE or CONVERGE? Sure – right now, you’re probably a jaded ol’ listener who thinks every heavy band is doing the same goddamn thing, but back then, back in those salad days, this kind of stuff scared the pants off of you.
