YELLOWCARD’s Paper Walls Tracklisting, Album Art, More

YELLOWCARD’s third disc for Capitol Records, Paper Walls is set to see the light of day on July 17, 2007. The album, which comes as the follow-up to last year’s Lights And Sounds, will be available as a deluxe CD/DVD version featuring exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the band, extensive photo gallery and two additional live bonus tracks. The album reunites the band with producer Neal Avron, who produced the band‚Äôs previous two albums, and also marks the recording debut of guitarist Ryan Mendez who joined the group during the Lights and Sounds tour. Look for the band to be on the Warped Tour through July 19.

PROJECT 86 Announce Rival Factions Tour

Tooth and Nail recording artists PROJECT 86 are now counting down the days to an extremely busy summer. Having just finished their sixth full-length album, Rival Factions which is slated for release on June 19th, the Orange County residents will spend the entire summer on the road.

PROJECT 86 will be heading to Chicago to join the Tooth and Nail Tour on June 5th alongside the likes of MXPX, SULLIVAN and THE CLASSIC CRIME for a handful of dates. Then, PROJECT 86 will headline their own tour with SHOWBREAD, INHALE/EXHALE and CHASING VICTORY. Kicking off at Cincinnati’s The Underground on June 16th, the Rival Factions tour will make its way as far east as Buffalo, NY, head south for two shows in North Carolina and then head back westward to close out the tour with a hometown show at Anaheim’s House of Blues on July 6th.

I Surrender Records Signs THE HIGH COURT; Album Out In July

I Surrender Records has signed New Jersey’s THE HIGH COURT. The band, self-described as holding a “special place in their heart for the debauchery of rock and roll,” will release their debut disc, Puppet Strings, on July 24. Two songs from the disc, which they will be supporting with a slot on the summer’s Warped Tour, can be heard here.

FUCKED UP Touring US; Playing Entire Hidden World In Toronto

Jade Tree’s FUCKED UP will be touring the US this summer in-support of both last year’s Hidden World and their upcoming 12″ release entitled Year Of The Pig. The latter will be available at the upcoming shows with a wider release scheduled in August through What’s Your Rupture.

iTunes Begins Selling DRM-Free Music Today; Jordan Ecstatic Wherever He May Be

After Steve Jobs lashed out against digital copyright protection, aka DRM, a few months ago, the iTunes Store has begun selling music that is free of the DRM restrictions. It should be noted that two of the interesting features of the revamped iTunes Store (known as iTunes Plus) is that when a user makes a DRM-free purchase, iTunes will ask the user if they want to make DRM-free downloads the default, and also, users who have purchased DRM-locked music can upgrade to the DRM-free version for a small fee.

So, while Jordan will be able to better analyze the new iTunes business model, suffice it to say, I’m sure he’s pretty stoked.
