A formal introduction

Hello loyal Pastepunk readers. My name is Adam Barone and thanks to Jordan I’ll be the newest addition to team Pastepunk. With the recent demise of punkrocks.net I wasn’t looking forward to ending my zinester endeavors there so here I am.

A little about myself… I’m 19 and currently working for a law firm in the suburbs of Philadelphia. I also play in the band Hostages so feel free to check us out and talk trash. I also have a music blog for those interested called Finding The Rhythms for all non-zine-worthy ramblings that I find the need to share with the world.

That about sums it up. Feel free to to e-mail me any thoughts or comments, I’d love to read them.

Release of the Day

Various Artists – Bridge Nine Singles Vol. 2

- A couple of months ago Bridge Nine quietly released two compilations collecting together the label’s early 7″ releases, most (all?) of which have gone out of print. Of the two volumes, the second one is by far the better grouping and shows a hardcore label beginning to move past the “getting its feet wet” stage and cementing its place in the world. Volume Two includes songs from FIT FOR ABUSE, R’N'R, OUTBREAK, SOME KIND OF HATE, THE DISTANCE, DEATH THREAT, OVER MY DEAD BODY, BREAKER BREAKER, RIGHT BRIGADE, and A POOR EXCUSE. You can check out a free stream of the entire release on Napster.com
