WITH HONOR Announces Europe Only Collection Of Early Material “The Journey”

According to our fine feathered friends at punknews.org, WITH HONOR is releasing a 20 song collection of early material for Europe which includes their split with THE DISTANCE, the first WITH HONOR EP and their first full length Heart Means Everything.

-I’m very hesitant to label a full length, and two EPs early material for a group that has only committed to tape two EPs and two full lengths. For those keeping track at home, Heart Means Everything had 11 tracks, the Distance split had 3, and their first EP had 4, which means there’s 2 songs unaccounted for…what are they?

THE FORECAST “Late Night Conversations”

Having been exposed to THE FORECAST’s previous musical output, I was pleasantly surprised when Victory signed the group, raising them from relative obscurity much like the label did for THURSDAY a few years ago. Hailing from Peoria, Illinois, THE FORECAST have a grip on a solid mix of good ol’ midwestern emo and moderately uptempo, [...]

SHIPWRECK Joins the Deathwish Roster

From the inbox:

We are proud to welcome SHIPWRECK to the Deathwish affiliated family.

Driven by their contempt for humanity and true hatred for mankind, SHIPWRECK have been laying ruin and raising hell in the New England Hardcore community for quite some time. SHIPWRECK embody the same spirit of rage that drove INTEGRITY, RINGWORM, and MERAUDER to hardcore greatness. Those who have survived the sheer power of their live show, or picked up their now classic debut 7″EP/CDEP (Rumble 2005) can attest. Their time is here, SHIPWRECK are just beginning to leave their mark…

SHIPWRECK are currently working on their debut album to be released on Deathwish soon. In the meantime, SHIPWRECK will release a limited 7″EP this summer, also on Deathwish. Look for info on this EP to surface shortly.

Favorite Punkrocks Whatnot

It’s going to shock Jordan to death that I posted news, but I wanted to add my two cents to the punkrocks.net eulogizing.

A few of my favorite punkrocks.net memories:

1. when Kevin “interviewed” my dog

2. the never realized romance column by Brandon (a.k.a. “Thrusts ‘Em Til He Busts ‘Em”) and myself (a.k.a. “Mistress of the Mattress”)

3. that flyer I got at the 1999 Warped Tour with the anime drawing of the guy with a mohawk that Kevin is totally embarassed of

PR was a great site, right down to their passed out people bios page (even if they didn’t have a plant mascot). I always enjoyed reading the site and collaborating with them on things like the previously mentioned projects. The PR crew can walk away proud.

p.s. Uhh wait…what’s going to happen to that mix cd trading club? Just kidding.
