Sunday Playlist & Recommendations

1. THESE GREEN EYES – House of Glass: Out November 8th, this slab of melodic post-hardcore brings the best of SUNNY DAY REAL ESTATE and BY A THREAD.

2. BOYSETSFIRE – The Day The Sun Went Out: Equal Vision is doing a really great thing by reissuing this groundbreaking release. BSF has had their share of ups and down since their inception, but there’s no denying that this album had a huge impact in hardcore across the globe.

3. AT RISK – S/T: Sometimes you just want to listen to something that makes you want to punch holes in the wall. Santa Cruz hardcore is in full-effect with this 20 minute full-length, and the guest vox by GOOD RIDDANCE’s Russ Rankin are tops.

4. GLASSJAW – Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence: Is there an album with a better bass sound than this one? “”When One Eight Becomes Two Zeros”" is one of my most favorite songs of all time.

5. RANCID – And Out Come The Wolves: There are days where it feels like I’ve had “”Old Friend”" stuck in my head for ten years. I’d love to see a deluxe version of this release happen – afterall, this album was the subject of a bidding war with MADONNA and her Maverick Records.
