Pennsylvania’s THE STORM have a sound that fits solidly into two camps of metalcore. To one side is the bruising metallic edge that’s dominated by beatdown breakdowns and titanic guitar chugs. Opposed to that is the band’s flirtations with gang-shouted vocals, dual-shredding guitars, and a mild sense of exploration. Think of it as FULL BLOWN CHAOS meets SKYCAMEFALLING… with an unfortunately thin recording style. The band released their debut full-length on Innerstrength Records in early January and a number of songs the album, titled Relentless can be heard on their myspace page.
