The mighty stegosaurus was a dinosaur fit for battle what with its spiky exterior and hardened backside. Sounds just like your modern day riot punx with thick, metal-adorned leather jackets and crusty ANTI-CIMEX backflap, right? That’s probably not the comparison that Texas indie/post-hardcore band STEGOSAUR was going for (uhh, maybe you should have been called diplodocus, fellas?), but their name is pretty cool nonetheless. Anyway, this charming four-piece has a new three song 7″ titled Adventure (via Seafoam Recording), all of which can be streamed on the band’s MySpace page. I kind of hear some WEATHERBOX and CURSIVE in their sound, there’s definitely a theatrical element to the vocals. Give it a whirl.
