Alex has been bugging me about instrumental “heavy arts” band CAPRICORNS all week, so I finally gave them a listen. The clincher was some press about them noting that their new release, River, Bear Your Bones, is a concept recording about the band’s homebase of London. You know this whole concept record craze is getting loony when it spreads to instrumental releases. Anyway… the music is as expected, full of doom and gloom, and powerful as all hell (especially the closing moments of “Broken Coffin of the Venerable”).
