- It seems so longer since Initial Records was both a record label and a kick-ass distribution company. I spent a whole lotta money buying things from them, and just about everything was a quality pick-up. Initial put together a terrific free comp in 2000 that was later released in stores in 2001, which featured music from artists both on their roster, and for which they distro’d stuff. Highlight songs come from KING FOR A DAY, SILENT MAJORITY, NO MOTIV, POISON THE WELL, HOT WATER MUSIC, BOY SETS FIRE, TIME IN MALTA, TORN APART, and well… just about everything thing on here. It’s a compilation well worth revisiting.
