NORMA JEAN Sign With Razor & Tie; Thinly Hide Contempt For Former Label Solid State

Progressive metal/hardcore outfit NORMA JEAN have announced their signing to New York’s Razor & Tie. A new full-length is expected in summer 2010. In a press release, Cory Brandan had the following to say about the change in label scenery: “If we didn’t sign to Razor & Tie, I think we would have gone on a killing spree, with no regard for life or limb. I think for the first time in our career, upon presenting our ideas, we get to hear the word ‘yes’ more often. It’s like discovering an unknown tribe on a distant island. Except we’re the tribe and we don’t know your language.” Ouch.

NORMA JEAN released the critically acclaimed (I feel so dirty when I type out those words…) The Anti Mother in 2008. In their headlining run later this year on the “Explosions 2009″ tour, the band promises to play the entirety of their breakthrough, Bless The Martyr and Kiss the Child on select dates.
