News Bits.

1. A WILHELM SCREAM sign to Paper and Plastick Records. Quick, act surprised.

2. MICHAEL JACKSON is dead. I don’t care any more about his death than anyone else’s. He’s been a cartoonish character for me since I knew of him and sadly, the music he left behind is always going to be in that terrible shadow. I’ve only known him in his last 15 years and his artistic decline. But, perhaps, now that he’s dead, I can begin to view the discography on its own merits, beginning in his ending.

3.  I’m really liking the PACIFIC THEATER record. It’s a chillout disc that so far, doesn’t really seem to reveal more of itself with more listens, but it’s incredibly vivid on its surface.

4. CONVERGE finished recording their disc, according to their twitter page.

5. Yes, I do like the new CRIME IN STEREO song, but, like my initial reaction to …Is Dead, I find it very strange. Plus, it’s unclear whether another version of that song will be on their new record, which I think (??) they’ve recently finished.
