Speculators are speculating that venerable Anti- Records is coming back to eMusic after a multi-year hiatus. Emusic’s “Coming Soon” vaguely indicated that material from NEKO CASE, TOM WAITS, and NICK CAVE AND THE BAD SEEDS was due to arrive in January. A thread about it is here, and this follows news from the NY Post that said that eMusic was close to nailing down catalog deals with two more major labels. Over the summer, eMusic added a huge chunk of music from Sony and its various sub-labels. If Anti- does return, presumably this would include Epitaph and Hellcat as well.
