IndieHQ Discusses Company “Disc Revolt”

There’s a cool write-up on Indiehq.com about a start-up company named Disc Revolt that provides bands with plastic cards that are used to sell digital downloads at merch tables. The cards themselves are pretty sweet looking and of course, are available with unique artwork. The company hosts and handles the backend of distributing the digital files.

- Man… this would definitely take some getting used to. One of my favorite feelings is coming back from a show with a still-wrapped CD placed in my backpack. At a few shows, I couldn’t wait to crack the CD out of the jewel case and toss it into my car stereo. On the plus side, this would amazing at events like Warped Tour where it’s not much fun to lug around a sack of CDs all day, not to mention for bands, the need to no longer haul hundreds of CDs in a trailer whilst on tour.
