HOPESFALL have just entered Vudu Studios in Long Island , NY with producer Mike Watts (AS CITIES BURN, AS TALL AS LIONS) to record the follow up to 2004′s A-Types. The band revealed that they have been working on new material for close to a year and fans should expect a further progression in their sound, of which A-Types which scanned over 50,000 albums and spawned the very powerful songs “Breathe From Coma” and “Icarus” was heralded for. Guitarist Josh Brigham says “Our music has always been spacey and heavy, and we use those roots, combined with our love of grunge-era Smashing Pumpkins, Dinosaur Jr, Hum, and Pixies, we add some bigger, heavier riffs. “The song writing has been a group effort, along with a collective goal to improve on the past albums. “We all admire bands that can morph and change with each album, and that is what we try to do. Expect change and progression, in both song writing and overall style, on the new album.” HOPESFALL recently debuted a new song, “Bird Flu”, for the Trustkill Takeover II Compilation which hit stores everywhere on Oct 31. The song will also appear on the forthcoming album, but will appear slightly altered as the band plans to spend six weeks in the studio to perfect the album.
