The new BREAK THE SILENCE disc (Hopeless Records) arrived at Pastepunk HQ yesterday and I can barely shed the smile that’s still gleaming across my face after listening to it over and over again. The guys in BREAK THE SILENCE take melodicore to a whole new level, infusing with it hyperactive guitar riffing and machine-gun percussion, all smothered in screaming vocals, and haunting backups. The bottom line is a conflagration of sounds like should cause people to take notice almost instantly.
