Concert debriefing: PAINT IT BLACK

I just had the pleasure of witnessing PAINT IT BLACK at the Bottom of the Hill in San Francisco, and despite the crowd’s lack of enthusiasm, Dan Yemin and Co. tore the freakin’ place in two. Yemin yelled and stomped around the stage like an angry grorilla, doing everything in his power to be heard over the roar of the rest of the band (and what a mighty roar they provided). I haven’t had an adrenaline rush at a concert in a long time, but when Dave Hause (of the LOVED ONES) came out and helped Yemin finish “Memorial Day” with a mighty sing-a-long, I just about pee’d my 501′s. Go see PAINT IT BLACK if they come through your town…DO IT!
