CHAMPION officially disbands

Sad news today from Bridge 9, as the label officially addressed the rumors surrounding CHAMPION’s decision to disband. B9′s Chris Wrenn posted this statement on the label’s website:

“”"”For the past 4 years, working with Champion and releasing their records has been an amazing partnership. Two EP’s and an LP of fun, fast and exciting HardCore by a group of some of the most sincere individuals you’ll come across in this ‘scene’. They put their lives on hold and worked harder than literally any band we’ve ever worked with, so they could tour from one end of this earth to the other, playing live to more kids in more countries than anyone. I’m sorry to see them go, but the legacy that they’ll leave on a new generation of HardCore kids will continue on.”"

- We here at Pastepunk are pretty bummed about this as ‘Promises Kept’ was one of our favorite hardcore releases of the past few years, but in keeping with the band’s positive message, we hope that from the ashes of CHAMPION will rise new projects that we can be moved by.
