Of Gold, the debut full-length from BARS OF GOLD, is now available for pre-order. The 12″ LP marks the 50th release for Friction Records and will see an official street date of August 24th from the venerable Michigan label.

Featuring former BEAR VS SHARK frontman Marc Paffi, as well as original BvS drummer Brandon Moss and members of instrumental noise outfit WILDCATTING, Bars Of Gold’s overall sound doesn’t fall far from its punk roots. Still, the outfit explores wonderfully uncharted territories, embracing elements of soul, garage rock and Americana.

Currently the band is streaming three brand new songs from the album on its MySpace page.

Of Gold is limited to a pressing of 500 on translucent orange and translucent green vinyl. It features artwork by Paffi and each copy will come with an mp3 download code for all the songs.
