Press Release:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Baltimore, Maryland February 28, 2005

The Syrentha J. Savio Endowment (http://www.syrentha.org) is proud to announce the addition of From Autumn To Ashes, Converge, Bane, Motion City Soundtrack, The Get up Kids, Murder By Death, and Stretch Arm Strong, to it’s growing repertoire of bands joining in the fight against breast cancer as part of the The Shirts for a Cure Project (http://www.shirtsforacure.com)

The Syrentha J. Savio Endowment(SSE) is a non-profit organization that provides funding for chemotherapy and other medication for underprivileged women who cannot afford the growing expense of fighting breast cancer. In just under 30 months SSE has raised more than $160,000 through a series of events that include benefit concerts, dinners, auctions and awareness walks.

Because SSE is very involved within the punk community, The Shirts For A Cure Project was launched so fans could have a chance to own an exclusive piece of merchandise while giving voice to the issues of Breast Cancer.

When a band donates a shirt design, the design becomes an SSE exclusive, the site features limited edition t-shirts from various bands; My Chemical Romance, Thursday, Hot Water Music, Thrice, The Bouncing Souls, Strike Anywhere, and Taking Back Sunday are only some of the many artists participating in this project. These exclusive designs are only available online or at SSE events.
