THE COPYRIGHTS “Make Sound”

THE COPYRIGHTS (a favorite of pop-punk minded intellectual property lawyers everywhere) are another nail in the wall that’s holding together what’s left of the Lookout/Mint Records scene from the early 90s. Like their labelmates in THE METHADONES and TEENAGE BOTTLEROCKET, the band is well-versed in all things SCREECHING WEASEL, THE QUEERS, and SQUIRTGUN, not to [...]

NEW FOUND GLORY

It was 10:00 PM, and we were waiting outside the FU-BAR for the show to start. There was a couple of hundred kids outside. The police showed up and said that only 298 people were allowed inside because of safety codes! Being the cool guys that New Found Glory are, they said that they would [...]

Lambgoat Talks To MESHUGGAH

Sweden’s monolithic metal titans MESHUGGAH are an intimidating force on record, but apparently their drummer is a fairly laid back person when giving interviews. That element seems to work in their favor in this quality interview at Lambgoat.com. MESHUGGAH are currently supporting their latest full-length, Obzen, on Nuclear Blast Records.

New Interview Added With ALGERNON CADWALLADER

I just posted a new interview with Peter of ALGERNON CADWALLADER. I’ve been extremely stoked on this band ever since reading a blog post about them from the fine folks at SoundAsLanguage.com, and I’ve actively followed them since. The band recently released their first full-length titled Some Kind Of Cadwallader, available on Be Happy! Records. You can check out the interview here.

NO USE FOR A NAME “All The Best Songs”

As a collector, compiler, and over-analyzer of all things having to do with mid-90s melodicore and skatepunk, NO USE FOR A NAME is one of the bedrock stones that makes up my punk rock foundation. The band’s breakthrough 1995 full-length Leche Con Carne and the 1997 follow-up Making Friends remain must-have classics, more than 10 [...]
