I almost never get excited about seeing a band once let alone seeing them again and again. However, every so often I come across a band that blows me away both on record and in concert. MARGOT & THE NUCLEAR SO AND SO’S are one of those very few bands. I saw them in Chicago on Sunday and loved them so much that I’m seeing them again this Saturday in New York. As CANCER BATS finish up their current US tour supporting fellow Canadian’s ALEXISONFIRE and MONEEN, they’ll get ready to head to Europe for a few dates on the Taste Of Chaos tour before meeting up with ALEXISONFIRE and then MONEEN once again. -I literally just started listening to the band’s latest album over the weekend thanks to a recommendation from Mark Jourdian, and he was right, they have loads of potential. Too bad to see that they may not ever reach it.

We have heard unconfirmed reports of the following from Gainesville’s “The Fest” — a) “PAINT IT BLACK FUCKING OWNED”; and b) “Yes, Dan Yemin did wrestle an alligator.”
