ALOHA “Here Comes Everyone”

Here Comes Everyone is a release that personifies the description that music can contain warmth. In what is surely to be ALOHA’s most complex and well-developed release to date, the twelve songs on here serve up a smattering of bright tones and swirling rhythms. The arsenal of instruments deployed by ALOHA is impressive, including a [...]

Song of the Day

SMOKE OR FIRE – Indecision

- This song comes from the PROTECT compilation. It is previously unreleased, and it absolutely rocks in an AVAIL/LIFETIME/ANTI-FLAG kinda way. Great melodies, energy and insight. Wooha!

EVERGREEN TERRACE Hits The Road With THE CHARIOT, AS CITIES BURN & UNDERMINDED

A rockin’ tour gets underway tomorrow with the above named bands (technically, AS CITIES BURN start a week later, with THE BLACK MARIA filling in the first week). All of the dates and venues have been posted here. The month long event has been billed “”The Slightly Out of Control Tour,”" as indicated in the graphic to the left.

In related news, EVERGREEN TERRACE’s label, Eulogy Recordings is still without power in southern Florida, more than a week after Hurricane Wilma delivered a vicious beatdown to nearly 10 million residents. The label posted a note on its website today that is has filled over 200 mailorder purchases via candlelight and is trying to get through everything as soon as possible.

Finally, HOODS Eulogy debut, The King Is Dead hit stores last week, and is also available for MP3 download from the Eulogy website. A media player for the brutal release can be found here.

BAYSIDE Involved In Tragic Accident, Memorial Fund Set Up

Bayside Drummer John Holohan Killed in Tragic Highway Accident, Memorial Fund Established

There has been a tragic loss. Bayside was in a terrible accident this morning while driving to today’s concert on the Never Sleep Again Tour, which includes their friends and labelmates Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein and Aiden. Their drummer, John “”Beatz”" Holohan, was killed when their van flipped after hitting a patch of ice outside of Cheyenne, WY. Their bass player Nick Ghanbarian was also seriously injured. Anthony and Jack have thankfully been discharged from the hospital. Members of the band’s crew also remain hospitalized.

Tonight’s show in Salt Lake City is cancelled. An annoucement regarding the rest of the tour will be made later today.

Donations to John’s family can be made via Paypal to the John Holohan Bayside Memorial Fund .

- Pastepunk sends our sincerest condolences to all those involved. Please keep this in your thoughts and prayers.

- This news is so sad and upsetting. To have a life cut short by the freak accident of a van crash goes against the whole incredible spirit and amazing can-do-attitude of the life a touring musician. I repeat Chad’s sentiments above. – Jordan

- It is always a tragedy when a young life so full of promise is cut short. I join the rest of the Pastepunk staff when I send my condolences to Bayside and their family and friends. And for all other touring bands, please PLEASE be careful on the road. -Alex
