The new BREAK THE SILENCE disc (Hopeless Records) arrived at Pastepunk HQ yesterday and I can barely shed the smile that’s still gleaming across my face after listening to it over and over again. The guys in BREAK THE SILENCE take melodicore to a whole new level, infusing with it hyperactive guitar riffing and machine-gun percussion, all smothered in screaming vocals, and haunting backups. The bottom line is a conflagration of sounds like should cause people to take notice almost instantly.

Why I love “the law”

Google’s lawyers have sent a cease and desist email to Booble.com. They claim trademark violation and dispute Booble’s claims that the site is simply a parody… which under law is protected free speech.

Booble is a porn search engine set up to mimick Google. In an ‚ÄúI dare you to sue us‚Äù launch, Booble claimed its a parody site. However, there is a difference between doing a parody and profitting from a blatant attempt of stealing one‚Äôs image in the name of parody….”"
