- I’ve always had a thing for this style of California hardcore. Great to have TRIGGERMAN surface again.

1. If you follow enough people on Twitter who, by popular vote, seem to like the same band/particular release, and you don’t happen to feel that way, life begins to feel a lot like high school again. I suppose it’s called social media for a reason…

2. UNSANE is a lot better than I remember them being. Their new song “Ghost” is streaming via Decibel Magazine. The band’s upcoming full-length Wreck is out on March 20th via Alternative Tentacles.

3. Even if Rick Santorum ultimately becomes a marginal political figure by the end of 2012, I implore Fat Wreck to put together a Rock Against Santorum compilation. Maybe it can include a DAYGLO ABORTIONS song…

4. I can’t recommend enough the “One H.E.L.L. of a Compilation” that recently came out. I paid the $5 (suggested minimum donation) for the download and it’s a tremendous mix of 71 songs, including a number of quality hardcore bands that were new to me. It’s three and a half hours of music and for a great cause. Please check it out and purchase it here.

5. MARRIAGES are an off-shoot instrumental soundscapey band from RED SPARROWES. They have a full-length coming out in May on Sargent House titled Kitsune. You can check out the song “Ten Tiny Fingers” below.

Stream: LINE OF FIRE – “I Will Remember” (Cover)

- Tribunal keeps dropping musical morsels from their “Cover to Cover” release and I keep posting them. LINE OF FIRE never fails to impress…

Escapist Adds TERRITORY to Roster

From the inbox:

Escapist Records would like to welcome Tucson, AZ’s TERRITORY to its roster. We are quite excited to be working with the band on the release of a 12” in the coming months.

Drawing influence from the likes of Ringworm, Obituary, and Buried Alive, in their brief span as a band Territory has played alongside many of today’s brightest in hardcore including Foundation, Xibalba, Harms Way, Alpha & Omega, 50 Lions, and countless others.

Territory is currently in the midst of recording the album at guitarist Ryan Bram’s Homewrecker Studios. The release will be comprised of brand new songs as well as re-recorded material from the band’s demo and split cassette with Dead Hours.

In the interim, the Territory’s recently released cover of Carcass’ “Buried Dreams” for Toxicbreed’s Funhouse covers compilation can be streamed below.
