Stream: ANIMAL INSTINCT – “Unfinished Business”

- Debut full-length from this Swiss hardcore band. Features ex and current members of Solid Ground, Vale Tudo, Play to Destroy, Liferide. The release is formally out in April via Take It Back Records.

Stream: REBUKE – “Wouldworks”

- New to me is the Swedish skatepunk band REBUKE. “Wouldworks” was released in April 2010, so there’s a good chance you’ve already heard this, but on the occurrence you’ve been in the dark like myself, it’s well worth a listen, especially for fans of A WILHELM SCREAM mixed with an older sound (I definitely hear some RKL in there!).”Artie Kaye”, the band’s brand new 7″ is currently up for pre-order via Disconnect Disconnect Records.

- Title track from the band’s upcoming new full-length, out in early April. The band last released Blood of the Nations in late 2010.

Stream: LULLACRY – “Bad Blood”

- I had no idea a new LULLACRY full-length was in the works until a digital promo landed in my inbox today. It’s been almost seven since the female fronted goth/metal/rock band’s last release, Vol. 4. Their upcoming full-length is titled Where Angels Fear, and will be out in mid-April via Scarlet Records.

Tiny Engines Adds RED COLLAR

From the inbox:

Tiny Engines is honored to welcome Durham, NC rock band RED COLLAR to its roster. The Carolina-based label will release the band’s sophomore full-length, Welcome Home, on 12″ vinyl this summer. Welcome Home is the follow up to the band’s debut full-length, 2009′s Pilgrim. Pre-orders for the vinyl will begin in May with an official release date set for June 12, 2012.

The band was recently named as one of Alternative Press’ 100 Bands You Need To Know in 2012 along with fellow Tiny Engines labelmates, Signals Midwest. The issue (#285) hits streets in early March!

Three years in the making, Red Collar’s Welcome Home fulfills the promise of the band’s acclaimed debut full-length, 2009′s Pilgrim. Welcome Home continues the tradition of heart pounding indie punk & roll from the Durham, NC quartet but expands the palette with dynamic results. Red Collar combine the jagged rhythms of DC punk along with the soulful, working class spirit and lyrical bend of bands like The Hold Steady and The Gaslight Anthem. Never shying away from their influences, the band proudly displays the earnestness of Springsteen, the boldness of The Replacements and the swagger of The Clash firmly on their sleeves. All that you know and love about Red Collar remains but Welcome Home opens up into hauntingly beautiful songwriting territory that touches on the timelessness of Americana roots. Red Collar is back and they are better than ever! Welcome home!

You can still listen to Pilgrim on their Bandcamp page.

A389 Recordings have announced they will be releasing a complete discography LP compiling all of COUNTDOWN TO OBLIVION’s recorded material. A project that has been in the works for years and is finally seeing the light of day, this discography LP will compile CTO’s nine song demo cassette alongside their 7″ releases, all remastered by Kevin Bernsten at Developing Nations.
