UNTIL YOUR HEART STOPS Debut New Song

Northern California hardcore band UNTIL YOUR HEART STOPS have posted their brand new song “A Cult Classic” on their Bandcamp page. The tune is from their upcoming debut full-length full-length Errors, via Creator-Destructor Records. The record was produced by Zach Ohren and Castle Ultimate (it sounds like being bear hugged in jacket made of plush money).

Release of the Day: THIS ROUTINE IS HELL / SANDBOX REBELLIONS Split

- THIS ROUTINE IS HELL are like a Dutch version of PAINT IT BLACK. The similarities are so strong, it’s kind of creepy. Note that the stream only features the songs by THIS ROUTINE IS HELL.

Pre-orders are up at the Hellfish Family store for the debut 7″ from HARDSIDE entitled Crucified. The title track can be streamed on the 6131 Records blog, and a formal release date is set for January 11th. If the guy in the MERAUDER shirt didn’t give it away (as featured on the 6131 blog), the music certainly will — HARDSIDE are really into MERAUDER.

Video: IGNITE – “Ash Return” (w/ Joe Nelson on Vocals) 12/18/10

A video of the song “Ash Return” has surfaced online from IGNITE’s performance at the Chain Reaction on Saturday December 18th. Notably, on vocals for the entire song is original IGNITE singer Joe Nelson (also formerly of TRIGGERMAN).

Here’s “Embrace” from the show, this time with Zoli back on vocals. I’m moshing.

MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE – “Danger Days: The True Lives of Fabulous Killjoys”

After The Black Parade, a hugely successful QUEEN and BEATLES opus by way of INK AND DAGGER, MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE released a surprisingly rowdy version of BOB DYLAN’s “Desolation Row” for the Watchmen soundtrack, which signaled an about-face turn for the band, who were always tagged with an “emo” tag that tended to fit pretty [...]

Stream of the Day: BENTON FALLS – “Ashed and Lies”

Deep Elm Records reinvented itself in 2010 and has flat out conquered territory wherever its emo and indie releases have fallen. Of recent note is the label making available for high quality streaming all 170 of its releases. Bandwith concerns be damned! One of the label’s newest titles is a short collection of previously unreleased BENTON FALLS material titled Ashed and Lies (which also includes a new version of “Angel on Hiatus” with members of CLAIR DE LUNE). The band’s last release was its 2003 full-length Guilt Beats Hate.  You can stream the whole thing here.
