Trustkill welcomes to the family Long Island hardcore band SOLDIERS, featuring current members of THIS IS HELL.

SOLDIERS is not only a product of its five members, but the Long Island hardcore scene as a whole. Forged from the desire to express opinions and thoughts in a non-traditional way, SOLDIERS is a band made up of experienced, hard-working kids who have toiled on the road away from their island home for many years. SOLDIERS represents a new Long Island sound; a reaction to all that has come before and the need to face new challenges. The members that comprise SOLDIERS have been on the front lines for years, and now working together they are poised and ready to fight for what they believe in; the music, their scene, and themselves… prepare for war!

Speaking on the recent signing, singer Rick Jiminez said, “We’re really psyched to be part of the roster and involved with people we trust and like… which is a hard feat when record labels are concerned.” Adding to that, label Pres Josh Grabelle said, “I’ve known Rick and Dan for a while now and when I heard the new songs I was blown away, it really took me back to the feelings I had when I first got into hardcore and started going to shows. SOLDIERS will be on tour in August with Dead Hearts and Daggermouth.

Those Canucks are at it again. THE WEAKERTHANS have posted a new track from their upcoming album Reunion Tour, due out on Epitaph on September 25th. The track is “Night Windows” and it’s a mellow one, but still solid.
