Those lovable pop-punk darlings in HOODS (I kid, I kid!) have launched a brand new ecard for their upcoming Eulogy Records full-length, The King Is Dead. You can check out two songs from the release here. The second song in the player is titled “Ernie Cortez,” named in tribute to the former POWERHOUSE singer who passed away from cancer in late 2004.

TVT Records Added to eMusic.com

TVT Records, a longtime indie behemoth has added a chunk of its catalog to digital download service emusic.com. Most of the albums included are fairly recent, so hopefully the label will eventually add releases by IGNITE, STILLSUIT, A DAY IN THE LIFE, and others, to its offerings. From 36crazyfists.com:

What’s up friends?!? We are wrapping up the writing process of our new record and will be starting pre-production with producer Sal Villanueva [Thursday, Taking Back Sunday, Vision of Disorder] at our trusty rehearsal space in Portland, Oregon. This will take place for roughly 19 days, then we will be boarding a plane for good ol’ New Jersey and entering Big Blue Meenie Studios to begin recording!! This should take us through the holidays and into early next year; the record will be released through Roadrunner Records in early ’06.

If you don’t remember his name, Mark played bass for the legendary Southern California hardcore bands HARD STANCE and INSIDE OUT and was also seen on stage with that one band, oh, what was their name… oh, yeah… GORILLA BISCUITS. So, keep your eyes, and ears, open and expect to see their debut release on Mankind Records sometime in early 2006.”"
