Dear Pepperidge Farm:

I don’t know what it is that you coat your Sesame Snack Sticks with, but do you sell it by the bottle? In prescription form? Perhaps even a patch for my shoulder? I’m not sure how much longer I can go on eating an entire 7 oz box of these things before it truly becomes an unhealthy, but oh so obscenely tasty addiction. HELP ME BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE!

PAUL WESTERBERG / GRANDPA BOY “Stereo / Mono”

I feel a bit young to review this disc, as PAUL WESTERBERG is not exactly a name heard too common with those in my generation (REPLACEMENTS who?…just kidding…). However, Vagrant Records is about to change that, as Westerberg’s new solo output comes on the heels of a label that is truly hot with “the kids.” [...]

A post-break up interview with WHIPPERSNAPPER

An excellent interview with Andy Munn of WHIPPERSNAPPER was recently conducted by the European zine, Feverish Promotion. I believe this is the first interview with the band since their unfortunate break up earlier this year, and there’s some excellent insight pointed towards their past, and how their demise came about. WHIPPERSNAPPER’s second full-length, “The Long Walk,” is one of most importance pieces of music that I own.

WHIPPERSNAPPER “Appearances Wear Thin”

I’ve been fortunate enough to be a champion of WHIPPERSNAPPER for a long time, and have truly enjoyed their last two full lengths on Lobster Records. “A Long Walk” was a wholly original sounding disc, taking a blazing melodic hardcore sound and adding in jazz spices, and super slick multiple party vocals. To this day, [...]

2004 will be off to a great start with the release of…

CRIME IN STEREO’s debut full-length, “Explosives and the Will To Use Them.” If you’re a fan of LIFETIME, SILENT MAJORITY, KILL YOUR IDOLS, and overall, just fast, aggressive melodic hardcore, then this will surely bring a smile to your face.

WHATEVER IT TAKES “A Fistfull of Revolution”

Since this year’s Warped Tour, a lot of people have been talking about WHATEVER IT TAKES as they surprised the heck out of thousands of kids who witnessed their moving set this summer on one of the lesser populated stages. This band is a side project of Chris #2 from the infamous ANTI-FLAG, and on [...]
